We had a great time at Rach's wedding! We also got to see both of our parents! Addy loved spending quality time with both Grammas and Grampas! They each got to babysit over night and bond with our little girl! The wedding was a blast (minus Dena's poor finger!) and memories were made!

Wow, it has been a while!!

Sorry I have neglected to update the blog lately. Life is getting crazy busy! Adalyn is getting so big and learning so many new things, I just can't keep this thing updated! She is now rolling from side to side, but hates to be on her tummy. We think she will be walking before she crawls! Loves to sit up and stand! Loves her jumper and still loves to nap in her swing. She is giggling like crazy, if you just look at her a huge smile fills her face! I also like to think in her babbling, that she gets out the word "Mama". Here are some pics to catch you up. I promise to be better!!!

Addy's 1st Plane Ride!

We took Adalyn on her 1st plane ride for our trip home for her baptism and for Gramma and Grampa Hartman's Anniversary/Birthday party last weekend. She did so good!!! She was looking around and was very interested in all the people going thru security. She slept thru the whole plane right to Dickinson and Back home to Denver! I was afraid the loud noise from the propellers would bug her in that tiny plane, but it just put her right to sleep! Her eyes got big a couple times with turbulance but nothing too bad! Now hopefully she continues to be a good traveler for my flight to Fargo with her alone!!!

Addy's new playmate!

Adalyn got a new playmate on September 1st! My friend Penny (who I work with at the clinic) had a little girl named Lila Louise!! She was only one ounce more than Adalyn when she was born, 6 lbs 14 oz. It was fun to lay them beside each other and see how much bigger Addy is! She was a monster beside Lila! And it was very sad for me to see... Its amazing how quickly you forget how little she was!!!

Daddy and Addy..... Don't mind the drool and spit up!!!

Speaking of spit up... Adalyn was having even more severe reflux and would cry and arch her back every time you would try to burp her. Then would spit up 3/4 of the formula we gave her. We called the doctor and put her on Prevacid and now she is spitting up alot less and never cries while burping! Now she is happy 99% of the time... We are very very blessed with such a good baby!!! We cannot wait to come home so you all can cuddle with her... She will melt your hearts!!!

Sleepy time...

This is how Addy sleeps in the morning....She somehow wiggles her arms free of the burrito and sticks them out in front of her, as far as possible, so they don't slip back in!!!

We Survived!!

Well.. We survived!!! Or I should say, I survived the first week of daycare. I had a very hard time dropping her off the first day. I cried all the way to work and made everyone there not talk to me about it all day. When I went to pick her up she was excited to see me and it melted my heart!

They must completely tire her out because she has been sleeping all night ever since she started! This is very nice for Justin and I!! She also already has a boyfriend at daycare, Will. I'm not so sure how happy Justin is about this!!

Justin also got his first experience of picking her up at daycare on Wednesday. He got off work a little early and went to pick her up. Before I got home, they were at home talking and playing. Then I walked into the house to a sleeping baby!! Good work, Daddy!!!

Adalyn was very talkative last night and Justin was able to catch it on video for the 1st time! She usually stops as soon as we start videoing! Its a little dark because it was right before her bed time but you can really hear her jabber away! Her little voice melts our hearts!!

Our Big Girl

Here are some random pictures of Adalyn's adorable smile! It is getting more and more frequent every day! She loves smiling when you talk to her and tries to get some words out to visit with you! She is so much fun!!

Adalyn had her 2 month check up yesterday and boy, is she growing fast! The Dr was very impressed. She now weighs 11 lbs 7 oz, jumping from the 21st percentile to the 68th!!! She is getting tall too. 23 3/4 inches long! No wonder all her clothes are short! I had to buy new pj's for her today because the ones she had with feet didn't allow her to stretch her legs fully!! She has some gastric reflux so we are trying out some new formula to see if that works. But apparently the reflux is not affecting her eating!

Adalyn slept almost the entire way back to Denver! What a good traveler! When she wasn't sleeping she was staring at this new lights/music toy Gramma Shirley bought for her. She loved it!!
